2014 UK CORN, SOYBEAN & TOBACCO FIELD DAY

 

The UK 2014 Corn, Soybean & Tobacco Field Day will be held Thursday, July 31st at the UK Research and Education Center in Princeton, KY. Registraion will begin at 7:30 am (CDT) and the tours will begin at 8am. (CDT).

• Corn Populations and Yield
• Sidewall Compaction: Predictable or Unpredictable?
• Soybean Variety and Corn Hybrid Update
• Update on Movement and Distribution of Invasive Bugs in Kentucky Grain Crops
• Back to the Basics on Managing Herbicide- Resistant Weeds in Kentucky
• Environmental Management of Agricultural Nutrients in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed
• Nutrient Management and the KY Ag Water Quality Act 
• Watersheds, Water Quality and your Kentucky Commodity Groups
• Tank Mixing Tobacco Pesticides
• Variety Development Update
• Conservation Tillage in Tobacco  

CCA Credits: NM 0.5, SW 0.5, PM 2.0, CM 1.5 (sign in & sign out required)
Pesticide Credits: 1 General& 2 Specific Hr. (Categories 1A, 4, 5, 10, 12) 

 The field day will conclude with lunch provided by the Kentucky Soybean Association, Kentucky Corn Growers Association, Drexel Chemical Co., Burley Stabilization Corporation.
