The University of Kentucky Grain Crops Team and Cooperative Extension Service are happy to offer the Early Bird meetings for 2016. The primary goal of these meetings is to bring research and information to help producers discuss options for next season. The three meetings are scheduled for December 6th, 7th and 8th and will occur in Sedalia, Henderson and Hopkinsville, respectively, The session will begin at 8:00 am (CST) and end with lunch.
Topics include: •Highlights of the 2016 Season •Market Outlook and Risk Management •Seeking Solutions for Some Wicked Weed Problems – Palmer Amaranth and Waterhemp •2017 Profitability Outlook •Soil Test Recommendations When Times are Tough
CCA Credits: 1 Soil & Water Management, 1 Integrated Pest Management 1.5 Crop Management Pesticide Credits: 2 General hours 1 specific hour Category 1A, 4, 10. 12, 14. Lunch will be sponsored by the Kentucky Corn Growers’ and the Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board.
